Android 7.1.1 Lineage 14.1 For OnePlus One

The OnePlus One is a quite classic smartphone. Although it has not got the popularity like the HTC HD2, it is still among one of the Android devices that can balance specifications with a strong developer community until now, which helps the phone still alive.
If you are still owning a OnePlus One in 2017, there’s a good news for you. A member of XDA forum has finally updated his unofficial LineageOS ROM based on Android 7.1 Nougat for OnePlus One device. So, if you would like to test this new Rom by yourself and enjoy all the features, apps of Android 7.1 on your OnePlus One, then you should follow this given update guide below.

However, before proceeding, your OnePlus One needs to be rooted and installed the custom recovery on your device. Besides, you should also make a backup for your handset. Charge your device to at least 50% to avoid unexpected issues during flashing the ROM.

This ROM is only for OnePlus One, so you must not flash the ROM on other devices as they will end up getting bricked.
Steps to Install Android 7.1.1 ROM on OnePlus One
  • First of all, download the Android Custom ROM and then the Gapps file for your OnePlus One.
  • After that, turn on USB Debugging option in Settings> Developer Options on your handset.
  • Next, plug your phone to your computer and transfer two downloaded files to the internal storage of your OnePlus One.
  • Then power off your device, detach the USB cable and boot it into Recovery mode by holding and pressing the Power and the Volume Down buttons for 5 seconds.
  • In the recovery mode, make a clear data and cache by choosing the “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” and then “Wipe Cache Partition” options.
  • Now install the downloaded files on your OnePlus One. To start installation, tap on the “Install” and select the Custom ROM file.
  • Swipe to start the installation process and wait until it’s done.
  • Follow the same procedure to install Gapps files on your device.
  • Once the installation is complete, select “reboot system now”.
