How To Install Android 7.1.2 For Xiaomi Redmi 3S

Hello all Xiaomi Redmi 3S users! Today, we’re bringing to you a completely new custom ROM, based on the @TeamMex device. If you are using a Redmi 3S and are eager to experience the stock Android 7.1.2 version on your device, then it’s time for you to flash this new custom ROM.

Before getting started, your device needs to be installed a TWWRP custom recovery. Moreover, you need to create a full backup of your important data. Remember to install the Mi drivers on your PC to easily connect it to your Redmi 3S. Finally, charge your phone’s battery to at least 50% to avoid unwanted shutdown during the update. If not, your device may get bricked.

The new Custom ROM update is only meant for the Xiaomi Remi 3S, so you should not use it on other devices. It’s all your sole responsibility to proceed to the update and we will not take responsibility if any issue or bug iss created during the update.

Steps to Update Android 7.1.2 on Xiaomi Remi 3S

• First of all, download the Android 7.1.2 Custom ROM and then the Gapps file for your Redmi 3S.
• Next, connect your device to your computer & copy both the downloaded files to the internal storage/ sd card of your device.
• Now switch off your Xiaomi Redmi 3S, detach the USB cable and put it into Recovery mode by pressing Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power buttons
• Once you are in the recovery mode, perform a clear data & cache by choosing the “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” and then “Wipe Cache Partition” option.
• Now install the downloaded files on your handset. To start installation, tap on the “install” and select the Custom ROM file.
• Swipe to start the installation process and wait till it finishes.
• Follow the same procedure to install Gapps file on your Xiaomi Redmi 3S.
• Once the process is completed, go back to the Recovery mode menu, and tap on “reboot system now.”
